Question about Vantec Iceberg4 Pro

I recently bought a Chaintech Geforce FX 5700 256mb graphics card, because my previous Geforce 4 Ti 4200 seemed to be busted (seemed, as I found out recently that it still works I think, only the Thermaltake G4-VGA Copper Cooler needs replacing). So I thought since i'm replacing this already non-default fan for my GF4, maybe there r better fans out for my GF FX 5700.

So I look online and I come across the Vantec Iceberg4 Pro, and as I read reviews and it's specifications, I find that certain sites say that it supports Geforce FX 5200's and 5600's, while other sites say that it supports cards in the FX line in general.

My question to anyone who can help me is, does it provide better cooling for Geforce FX 5700 256mb cards than the standard fan it comes with? Thanks to anyone who can give me some info. :)

I'm guessing this is your card, and I personally wouldn't bother replacing the heatsink. BFG uses a similar heatsink on their 5700 Ultra and 5900XT OC and it's still plenty. The only reasonable reason to change the fan is if the noise from it bothers you.

I see. Well thanks for the reply.

Also, another thing that boggles me is that the 5700 I ordered looks nothing like the one I saw at the site I ordered from (mwave.com).

The card itself looks more like a 5500 in terms of size and the fan on it and other configurations on the board. However, it shows that it's a 5700 when I look at the device on my pc.

I was expecting it to look like this. Nor does it look like the one you linked me to MDE.

Is this sort of thing normal?

And thanks for the welcome, hope this place does me good for my PC endeavors. :D
