question about using cron

I'm running RH7.3 with KDE 3 and i'd like to use cron as an alarm clock. I'd like it to run xmms every weekday morning. I've tried '25 7 * * 1-5 xmms -p' but it doesn't seem to work. Any help? Thanks

there's an xmms plug in for that.
it's called xmms-alarm
and it wakes me up every day.

you can find it at freshmeat.net, i think.
or the xmms site

this is actually a good idea, now what would be a good way for me to not allow myself to turn it off and go back to sleep? 😛

perhaps lock the computer and speakers (unplug mouse/keyboard) in some sort of box, with holes for sound, and put the key on the other end of the house. after walking all that way and doing all that stuff, i'd have to be awake 😀
