Question about using a PCI-E power adaptor.......

I just bought this adaptor to use w/ my non-PCI-E power supply:

I have one of the molex connectors plugged into that adaptor with nothing else on that line. The other line is split between the adaptor molex and a DVD drive.

This is used to power a 7800GTX. Should I have a problem with this?

Should work okay. Post your specs. Might be worth upgrading the PSU.

It's an Antec TruePower 550.
