question about usb hub

does usb hub 1.1 can be used on usb 2.0 port?
If it does, does it run at usb 1.1 speed?

Yes to both questions. USB2.0 is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and 1.0.

Same goes for cables too. No need to get the USB 2.0 cables, although they can sometimes improve performance (minimally) on high use devices such as hds, etc.
