Hey guys, just some quick questions about upgrading my current computer. I've had it for almost 3 years now, completely custom built, but now I'm looking to get it upgraded. I know if i get a better graphics card, I have to get a better PSU (seeing i only got around a 400W). If I get a new video card, do i need to upgrade anything else besides the PSU?

Current Set-up:
HD Radeon 5700 Series
430W PSU
4Gb of RAM
500Gb Hard Drive
(not sure on processor and motherboard, have to check when i'm home)

Also, I'm looking to spend around 300-400 bucks on this upgrade so any suggestions on what video card to get and a reliable PSU (heard Antec isn't that reiable)?

Anyway, thanks for your time guys.

Download CPU-Z and tell us what CPU and MOBO you have, without that info advising on an upgrade is pretty hard.

I would do that but I'm at school right now in computer class so i can't tell you for sure ): only thing i can tell you for certain is the video card.

what screen res?

if you don't want to upgrade your PSU, i'd consider getting a 6870 (although it's probably about 40% faster than the 5770(or do you have a 5750?))
they're pretty darn cheap especially if you need batman arkham city or deus ex (dunno if that one's still around)

if you're upgrading your PSU regardless, probably a nvidia 570
the 570 runs for about ~$300 and a good PSU (corsair 500 -600w preferably) can be had for ~$50-100
antec isn't bad (they're tier 2 or something), and lately i haven't seen any compelling deals on them
