Question about transferring domain names ...

okay I think this is a pretty basic process. a company currently has their website hosted and was registered with another company. they are switching over to having me control the website and a new hosting company.

i currently have an account on godaddy and did a transfer request to my account. it was like $6 or something for a year. but now when i look in the status it says "transaction ID and security code required" and it has some admin email addy that isn't mine, but i'm not sure if it's the other hosts admin email or what.

i'm just curious as to what the next step will be. i have initiated this a few days ago. the manager at the company who is switching over to my services called the other guy and is the middle man between us two.

does what is happening so far sound normal or should I take other steps?
 
Why would they need to transfer their domain to you? Who is their current domain registrar?

All they need to do is login to their current domain registrar and change DNS name servers to yours. Then you login to WHM and create a new account 🙂
