Question about transfering 2 gigs

I have two computers. Computer A and computer B. They are set up on a wireless network. I have all of Computer A's drives mapped to Computer B. On computer A there exist a folder with 2 gig of files that I want to transfer to computer B. However, whenever I do so, the transfer never finishes. Computer A will eventually lose signal. Computer A is a lot closer to the router then computer B. Computer A is less than 10 feet away. What can I do to make sure when I transfer again, I don't have to start over?

I was thinking about using AIM because it'll let you "continue" but then that takes so long.
Or
Dividing the content.

But is there another way? If this had been one huge file, I could not divide it up.

use a cable. or use a transfer mechanism that allows restarts. some ftp client and server combinations can do it. bittorrent can do it.
