so I watched some episode on thursday night on msnbc, and they showed one where the guy drove to the decoy's house, parked his car on the side, but did not get out.

maybe about 10 minutes later, the guy just drove off. the cops pulled him over anyways and questioned him.

question: since he did not go to the girls house, is he in trouble? If so, isn't it the same as all the millions of guys who just talk about it onlne but dont act on it?

also, does anyone notice how most of the 'predators' are engineers?

I don't see how he could be in trouble. He could have pulled over for a million reasons. Can you prove that he was going to the house?

I think if he pursued the matter, the police would have some explaining to do.

If he sends her porn online knowing she is underage and solicits sex online knowing she is underage, he has already committed a crime.

That's why many of the perps who never even entered the house were arrested.

He showed intent. He told them online he was going to come for some sex0rz. He came to the location. He can be charged with something, I am sure.

Oh, he was a perv online, too? That explains it.

Oh, I dunno. I didn't see the last episode. But of the ones I have seen these crimes were explained. And just about every perp goes into detail about sex with the decoys.

If he was only questioned and not arrested, he may very well have not talked about sex or sent porn.

Yeah, I saw that episode. He's definitely going down. The reason is that the police can prove "intent" to commit a sex crime against a minor.

How can they prove intent? Well, they have reams of Internet chat logs where this guy told who he thought was a 13 year old girl about how he was going to go to her house and bang the sh*t out of her. If he left it at that and didn't pursue her then he'd be off the hook. When he drove to her house after telling her what he was going to do that still showed that he planned to do it.

:D Not to mention the penis pump that he had laying on the floor by the front seat - ready for action!

Edit: And how about those freak middle-aged men who were ready to take a young boy's virginity? One guy was a school teacher.

Predator: Honestly I just came here to "hang out". I wasn't going to do anything sexual with her at all, I swear. This is my first time!

Chris Hansen: Then why did you type "I will show you how to ... my ...." in these online chat logs? If you didn't plan on doing anything sexual, why did you bring condoms?

LOL
