Question about to buy

No, it's OEM, which means you get the hard drive only. If you have a computer in your house, I garuntee you have a spare ATA cable that you can use.
 
The motherboard should ship with a few of them, have a dig round and see if you still have a spare one, otherwise yes you will need one of those cables.
