Question about tint for home windows

Theres some tint you can get, a UV tint. i think its a Type E or something. Anyways, its supposed to be like 20 or 30 bucks a window to have it added on before installation.
My question is, can they put it on windows that have already been installed?

Tints can be put on after the window has been installed.

Why wouldn't they be able to ?

I'm not too sure about the specifics, but the guy who did my Tints for my car did Tints for Adam Sandlers NY apartment.

yes those can be applied to installed windows, but it's so much easier, and MUCH LESS WORK to have it factory isntalled... and it'd look better too

To the first: I didnt know if it was a film tint or perhaps a liquid tint which couldnt be done once the window was installed.
To the second: Well, I didnt know about the option till AFTER the windows were in, so now if I want it it has to be done after installation.

What about just getting darker screens? Is that not an option for you? It might be cheaper than tinting, assuming your windows are set up that way.

I like light, its the heat I'm trying to cut down on. Supposedly that UV tint blocks heat like fat chicks block guys from the hot chicks.
