Question about thread View count

Where it says "views" is it only counting registered users or does it include guests (lurkers)? Also, it is unique users or can it be one person looking over and over again?

You can certainly look at it again and again and it counts each time you view it.

When the counts first came out, I thought it was so silly that people boasted about views. So I had a thread viewed thousands of times by me. It shut them up.

And lurkers do count.

I believe they changed it to unique only, because I've seen threads with more replies than views.

It makes more sense to me to have it the 'new' way but i was just curious.

I hope it stays. I hate looking at my own threads hoping that someone is posting, only to find out it was my own refresh that counted as multiple views.

I believe they made it like once per session or something like that. EX: You click thread.. views goes up +1... new session (unblued boxes?) +another 1
or something like that
simply refreshing doesn't make it go up, I'm pretty sure
they got rid of that because of the spamming on that one thread which caused huge lag.
And a double-post or not leaving a thread could make more posts than views, I guess
