the kobe thread was it locked due the the racial comments, or for another reason. I am just curious because the mods didnt leave a reason why it was locked.

Yes, the Kobe thread was locked because of the racial comment in the title, and others in the thread. Even worse were the comments in the forum thread that was linked from the the page link in the first post.
