The National Society of Leadership and Success, also known as Sigma Alpha Pi, is a good society right? I got a acceptance letter from them, and they want me to pay $85. I never have been part of any honor societies ever, and this is my last year in college.

That's been around only since the early 2000s and it's just a money making scheme.

If you find a place that actually cares about a fake honorary society, you probably want nothing to do with them anyway.

Spend the $85 on books or something useful to your education/career.

Reddit and other sites mention that it‘s a waste. :p
But hey, if you think that adding “Member of so and so exclusive society” in your resume might help, go for it.

Do they give you a special-colored cord or tassel to wear on your gown when you graduate? Is the cord worth $85 to you (per year, I take it)?

Those are the only two questions that you should ask yourself.

Let your grades/resume speak for itself.

And why the hell would I want to be a member of a group that has people like me in it?

There's no way I would want to be a part of an organization that would let the likes of me in...
Come on...you gotta have SOME standards..........
