Question about thermal paste and amd t-bird 1.2/266!!!!

Building a new system and need to know if radioshack's silicone thermal paste is alright to use!!Thanks

It will work but you would be better off with something like Artic Silver or Cooper Ice.

its been noted that the RS paste tends to dry up after a few months leading to poor heat transferance between cpu & heatsink!
