question about the view in windows explorer in winme

In windows98se, when you open windows explorer, you see the lists of folders on your c drive listed on the left hand side of the screen & you cdrom drives below it, but in windows me, when you open windows explorer everything is hidden, you have to always click my computer then local disk c: then it lists the folders for you, is there a way to set it up so you can have all the folders listed like their were in win98 windows explorer?
