Is it the connector with the red/black wires or is it the one with the yellow/black wires?

Anyone? I just installed my VF700 on a 7800GT last night, and would like to connect the power connector to the video card so I can control the speed based on temps.

Thanks!

Well, guess and check would be the fast method...but:

red wire = 5 v or silent mode
yellow wire = 12v or normal mode

the mobo is going to try to regulate it...and the mobo has no clue what the videocard's temp is. Stick with either a voltage regulator (something like a vantec fan speed controller) or the included molex connector.

Yes, I can figure out which wire is which with a meter..but was really wondering if anyone had any easy solutions.. or adapters to attach the wire from the VF700 connector (3 pin) to the vid card. (2 pin)

You might be able to use the connector from the oem heatsink fan. The connector on my X800XT comes apart.

It depends on the mobo and which fan headr you connect it to. My board has 5 fan connectors, and only 3 of those are regulated. So I connected it to the non regulated header, and it runs the zalman at the high speed setting, which is exactly what I want.
