Question about the user name "Ed"

I have a question for a mod, or some one in the know. My user name on most forums is Ed, and here that user name is registered and sometimes when I'm selling things there is some confusion as to why my heatware is under the name Ed, but my user name is noced. As far as I can tell the user name Ed is registered, but has no known posts, profile, or any information. Is this user name possible to redemption by me, possibly? Any information about this would be appreciated, thanks.

Out of the 75,000+ users registered, a small percentage are active "everyday" users, while a larger percentage are "occasional" users, and the rest are "lurkers" (users who post rarely, if at all).

However, I'm somewhat unsure if redeeming the username Ed to you would be a breach of some rule.
