The maintnenance banner now shows:

Forum maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, January 17th from 10PM-12PM Eastern

uhm... is that 10pm till midnight (which is 12AM) ... or 10pm Thursday until Noon(which would be 12PM) Friday?

/me is confuzzled.

Last time it took about 2 hours - suspect that the forums will be down from 2200-2400 on Thurs.

It is nice for them to put the relevant time zone.

I was kind of hoping they did mean 12AM and it was just a typo... bad enough to go down during peak posting time for 2 hours... but to go down for a Full Day? WHAT ever would i do????

I'm sure it's a typo. 14 hours is a looooong maintenance. Plus, it would probably say "thursday 10pm to friday 12pm", not "thursday 10pm to 12pm" if it was really that long.

Geesh, 10pm to 12pm means just as it looks 10pm at night till 12pm at night same day. If it were friday it would have said so :)

At least they mentioned the time zone this time. Guess we can't have our cake and eat it, too.

Acutally, it'd be 12AM ;) Either that or "10PM-Midnight Eastern"

Hehe, the others are right Zuni. ;) Even though we think of midnight as nighttime, it's 12am. :)

Why would we choose to go down during peak hours? Wouldn't 4-6am be a little more ideal (with 9-11am a little more practical). Also you may want to have someone change the downtime message to say 12AM (Unless you are planning 14hrs of downtime).

It could be that zuni and the others like to sleep regular hours and don't like being awake at 4am!
