Question about the speed of light...

no..i meant is there anythign significant about the number 300000 relating to the speed of light...

Meter and second are arbitrary creations of man... so no.

Also, it's not 300, it's 299.5.

Edit: Google says: 299 792 458

wrong you re re! More like we gain infinite mass like your last date 😎

She may have had infinite mass, but she also had infinite energy wink wink wink

Besides, that's no way to talk about your mother 😀

None at all. length was created by man. if we doubled all length definitions, then the speed of light would be 150000 and not 300000m/s. It doesn't mean anything

This puts things into context:

In one second, light can spin aorund the earth seven times and a half.

I think the known universe is about 300,000 light-years across.

So as the universe gets bigger...the speed of light must get faster. 😉

I think it is a lot larger than that

i kept thinking, it can't be that slow. it's 300 mega meters (300,000 kilometer)

maybe the galaxy or solar system.....I know it was something.

Yea, latest estimates are around 14-15 billion light-years.

no! The fat bitch would have infinte energy applied to her to get her fat ass moving that fast.

And damnit I left myself wide open to that momma retort.... wide open like your mom!!

You're off by orders of magnitude. Our own galaxy, the Milky Way, is approximately 70,000 light years in diameter. Last estimate I heard was that there were over 600,000,000 galaxies.

it comes from this:

permittivity of free space ( e0 )
8.85 x 10-12 farad per meter
constant of proportionality that exists between electric displacement and electric field intensity in a given medium

permeability of free space ( u0 )
1.257 x 10-6 henry per meter
constant of proportionality that exists between magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength in a given medium

c = 1 / sqrt ( e0 * u0 )
