I have this board and I can not run my proc at 133 front side bus. I have an XP1800 and will not boot at 133 only 100 front side bus with all settings at default. Has anyone else had this happen. I know I could bump the voltage on it and tweak it but should I have to do this to run at its default?
I have not had this problem ever before. If I run it at 1150 it is perfect but if I put it to 133 it does not even post or if it does post it stops booting at the XP slash screen. hmmmm <scratching head>
Thanks in advance

I know someone else who is havong the same problem, only they can't get an XP2000+ to run on on same mobo, only will run at 100 mHz fsb. I will be interested to know if anyone knows a solution, so I subscribed to this thread.

Update, actually he's using a Soyo KT333 Dragon Lite. He believes that it may be a heat problem. When running at 133 fsb it takes awhile before it locks up. He used a retail AMD XP 2000+ with the hsf & thermal tape that came with cpu. I doubt this is the problem, but it may still be a thermal problem. He has checked memory and is running auto mode for memory. Also reflashed BIOS with latest version. Still locking at 133 fsb after running a while.

I'd be curious as well... I have the same mobo and an unlocked athlon 1.4... I couldn't get it to run at 133... I figured when I changed mobos that the traces got erased a bit, but I didn't understand how... now I'm curious.

Anyone ever get this figured out?

I'm thinking I better take mine back to frys. SIGH... Thinking about taking the ENTIRE system back... My system same MOBO, Ultra Plat. Using Kingston 2700DDR RAM, Works great at 100 MHZ FSB! Try 133 and I get the 2000 Splash Then it say NT OS Kernel Missing... Can't get it to boot. Couldn't even load windows with out setting back to 100Mhz, had all kinds of problems! GOT 8393 3D Mark score! PATHETIC!!!!

Using a brand new case, ennermax 350 W P/S ... Only 1 80Gig WD HD, and 9700 PRO... Sad... That I have to take this back... but, I should be getting into the 2000 mark with this system.. Time to buy an A-bit! KX7-333[R] (VIA 8367-8233A)

I guess I'm not the only one... I think this will be my last SOYO board...

my problem was the unlocked tbird. When I swapped to an unlocked athlon XP all was well. Apparently it thought I was majorly overclocking and it wouldn't boot to save me

Not sure how helpful this is, but I've got a KT333 Dragon Lite running an XP2400+ at 133mhz FSB. It's very stable. I'm using a 512mb stick of cheapo generic DDR 2100 and a 350 watt power supply.

The dragon lites are the only ones that should have problems with the 133fsb to begin with. When I posted my issue posting at 133 with a 1.4ghz tbird, nobody had ever heard of the dragon platinum not posting at 133. I solved mine by changing processors, but now I'm running an 1800+ like the original poster and no problems.

iam4u2nv, did you clear the cmos and start over again and all that jargon? And which bios are you running? Also, what speed are you running your memory at?

Went back to frys today... The dude spent about 15 minutes with the board and got the same problems I did. So, we exchanged the board and cpu for new ones... So this JUST isn't a Lite problem .. Matter of fact they told me they had a big batch of problem boards that did the same thing as mine!!! It is the MoBo...

These are my scores with new one. No Overclocking...

Not bad for Soyo...

Haven't really flashed the BIOS yet... OR installed the latesest ATI drivers... I suppose if bump up the voltage and maybe get a few more clock cycles I can probably hit 15000+

bit more tweaking...
