Question about the Saw 6 ending

The mother and teenage boy have to pull a lever to decide if the insurance man dies. The mother can't pull it, but the boy does, and kills the guy.

Maybe I'm just thinking too much about it, but Jigsaw says he despises murderers, yet doesn't the boy choosing to kill the insurance man constitute murder?

Is this a plot hole, or is this simply a case of a trap made by Hoffman that doesn't follow the rules set out by Jigsaw?

No plot hole... just a convoluted relationship.

Tara and Brent wake up in one locked cage, while reporter Pamela Jenkins wakes up in another. When Hoffman returns to the observation room, he finds a letter that Jill has placed on the desk, which he himself had written to blackmail Amanda Young, while Jill enters suddenly and shocks him, while William simultaneously reaches the end of his path, finding himself between the two cages.

It is shown that he (William) and Pamela (the reporter) are brother and sister, while Tara and Brent are the family of Harold Abbott (said at the beginning of the movie that it was his insurance policy that was revoked after a discrepancy was found on his application and later died from his illness).

Now they can choose to either kill William or set him free using a marked switch next to the tank. Brent shifts the switch to "Die", and a platform of needles swings into William's back, pumping hydrofluoric acid into his body and killing him.

Obviously Brent wanted revenge against William for killing his dad (indirectly).

For a Movie that came out October 23, 2009??? It's 5 months old... and out on DVD already for over 3 months.

It's not even close to recent.

So lol. Maybe people that want to watch for some reason didn't want to know what happened, until they watch it. :p

Aren't the Saw movies just Torture Porn? Plot and spoilers are irrelevant.

Hey Everyone, in Hot Young Nubile Teen 972 when forced to make a choice between guy 1 and guy 2, the Hot Young Nubile Teen chose BOTH!

Now you no longer have to watch Hot Young Nubile Teens 972 anymore!

I dunno, I thought that the movies were pretty good. It's quite graphic, but it's got a decent story as well.

those people shouldn't come into a thread with such a title, there has to be a line when its ok to discuss endings, and i'm pretty sure this one reaches that point.

they are pretty good for torture porn:p

while convoluted they are far more well done than say the teen slasher flicks of the past, those barely had any plot worth remembering at all.

The scariest part of the ending of Saw 6 was them stating there will be a Saw 7.

WTF, theres 6 of them? I saw the first 3, and they just got worse on each one. How the hell did they come up with funding to make 3 more?

Of course they got worse for you with each one after Part 1. 2 & 3 were the worst of the series. 4 & 5 are a decent amount better than 2-3. Besides 1, 6 may have been the best.

Here's how I'd rank them. 1, 6, 5, 4, 2/3
