so guys, i've hit a little problem. i've built a custom case and I had to make a new power switch to match it.

what I did was take an old switch from some old csae, cut of the switch and soldered on another momentary switch. now the reset switch is made the same way and it works just fine. what am i doing wrong? when I press the damn thing, there's power going to everything, mobo, fans, hdd, but nothing comes up on the monitor. when i replace it with an old power switch, it works.

i'm starting to think i got the wrong switch. some help please. tks!

Is it a switch with a built in LED?
Many have their own circuitry to power the LED. With a DVM, you could check for reversed leads or fried / open LED (and circuit).

Yeah there is probably something wrong with the switch or wiring. measure is with an ohm meter.
