Question about the Panasonic Gamecube.

I have a friend in Taiwan right now and he asked me if I wanted anything. I'm thinking about buying a Panasonic Gamecube. Does anyone know how much those run for over there? Is the DVD player region free or hackable for that matter? Can it play US gamecube games?

I've seen those for about $450, I Think they only play region 2 DVDs and play Japanese imports only. You can do that mod trick so you can boot up US Games but I'm not sure about Movies.


Toys N Joys Sells the unmoded Panasonic Q for 429 and the modded for 499. Its a damn nice looking system though.

It ain't going to be much cheaper. I'd say max $50 cheaper. It's not like they can have a bootleg GC. 😛

I know that the Cube can be unlocked, but I'm not sure about the DVD player. It *is* a pretty sweet little unit though. If they released a US version and I didn't already have a DVD player, I'd pick one up.
