Question about the new seti linux client.

I've heard rumors that the new seti client for linux is faster than the old one and was wondering if it's true or not?
 
so far from what i have seen it is faster on both pent III and
celrons.

looks like it will bring the pent III's down by a hour or more
and the celerons 300a running at 450 from
over 8 hours to about 5.5 hours
