Question about the new HDMI xbox 360..

Does it come with a vga connection/slot and cable that will let me hook it up a computer monitor?

I have a 22" hanns-g lcd monitor that can accept vga connections. If i'm able to sucessfully connect the 360 the monitor, anyone know how the picture will come out?

But just go to ebay and buy the cable that will plug in a xbox and away you go.

No VGA port. But you can get VGA adapters for the 360.

Yup. It's the only way to get 1080p HD-DVD from the older 360s 🙁

Those would be for audio. connect them a stereo.

If you get the XBOX brand VGA cables, it comes with an adapter

And even if you don't get that Y-adapter with your VGA cable, those things cost like $3-4 at Radio Shack. No big deal.

Thanks for the answers guys , so if i wanted to use my logitech speakers, http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16836121123 , to hear audio, how could i go about using it? do i use that audio adapter for 360 and just hook it up side by side with my logitech port connector onto my computers mother board?

You could hook it up to your PC Soundcard input, and configure it for playback, but then your PC would need to be on all the time.


You could get one of these and connect it to your speakers directly.

Or you could play around with the plumbing and have them both hooked up at the same time. ( 2 x 1/8" female to 1 1/8" male connector) just make sure you dont have both audio sources on at the same time, or one will see the other as a load.


I would go with option 2 personally, or just pipe the sound through your monitor speakers ( aforementioned "green audio port" on your monitor)
