Hello everyone, i just had a 2500+ Barton put in...

Now my mobo only runs a 266fsb though the cpu supports 333mhz, so the FSB is clocked down but the speed is still 1.83ghz.

Now is there a big difference between my old AMD Throroubred 2100+ and my new 2500+ barton? What can i expect?

I know that the L2 cache was increaded to 512KB. Does that make alot of difference? Is it noticeable??

Thanks

Dude..how can the FSB be "clocked down" but the speed still be 1.83 if you havent adjusted the multiplier. Even then, you cant possibly get that speed with any multi and 133 FSB. what're you trying to say?

Um, even the stock fan should cool it better than that. You sure you installed it correctly? I've done the backwards thingy before, it's not hard to do. Heat = Bad.

And vich, I'd guess if you're running at exactly 1.83, that your motherboard does support 166 MHz FSB speeds.
