Question about the Logitech MX1000?

Hi,

I used to use a Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse about 1 1/2 years ago, and found it really annoying for graphics like 3D modelling. The problem was when you stopped moving the mouse, you'd have to move it a little in order for it to 'wake up' and start registering and moving your cursor.

So moving just one pixel to the left was almost impossible, as I'd start moving it, it'd wake up and then go too far. This was apparently a problem with most wireless mice, and a battery saving technique. Which is a good idea yes, but not suited for me then I guess. Even playing with the sensitivity I couldn't get happy with it.

Now I'm looking at the Logitech MX1000, and wondering does it have the same issue? Or is it always ready to move, so you can get the pointer exactly where you want it right down to the pixel?

I've had mine for about a week now and I absolutely love it. I've had none of the problems people mention: It doesn't lag or stall when I pick it up to move it regularly, the batterly lasts quite a while, it does NOT wobble or anything like that, and it feels very smooth and precise (and I do a lot of Photoshop).
I was a little nervous given all the bad reviews some people gave it, but mine is great.
 
Nope, no such lag. I've had mine since the first week they were released and it's the best mouse I've ever owned. It doesn't need any battery saving techniques because the battery lasts so damn long anyway.
 
no lag....this is the best mouse ever! It even made me upgrade from my incredible MX510! It's just that good.
 
The mouse does go off when not in use but the thing is so sensitive that as soon as I place my hand back on the mouse or jsut barly move it, it truns back on. I mean I can bascly touch it and it will trun back on.
 
Yeah I've had the MX310 for a while, and was thinking about the mx510 actually... it does look cooler than the MX1000 I think, but I really like the idea of finally chopping the tail off my mouse and going wireless.
