Question About the GA-965P-DS3

Has anyone notice any performance increases with the F10 update Enhance FSB frequency flexibility.. I have OC my PC to 3.6. Does this update help at all to get more of a OC? I have laid this to rest for a while but i think it might be time to give it another whirl.. Or do you think i should be happy where I'm at?

No, I think the F10 update means it gives the motherboard the ability to run 1333FSB as opposed to 1066FSB.

And with good cooling you should be able to get more than 3.6 out of that X6800, heck I get 3.6 out of my measly E6400 and I barely tried and know I could get way more if I did.

i have try so many thing to try to get this thing to go higher.. but it seems it fails on me when i run the stress test on it..

The higher you go, the more vcore is required. You most likely just aren't giving your X6800 enough juice.

That could be it I'm just to scared to go any higher than a 1.45vcore that's the highest i have gone with this chip my temps right now are at around 41 idle and about 50 under full load. but my Vacore is at 1.40 rigth now..

What happens if u got 400x 10 give it like 1.45v... and whats ur power supply?

Man i just love the idea of having whatever muli u want unlocked

i have try that and with no luck.. The power supply i use is a Seasonic S12 Series S12-500W 500W Power Supply. Yes it is VERY nice to be able to use any Muli.. but i seems to have no luck with the stock muli at 11 try 10 and 9 i can get up too 400 FBS and thats works fine.. maybe i'll give it another whirl and see what happens I'll try 10X like a 370 i know there no way i can do 400 at 11 in fact i think my PC won't even boot up if i recall.(i can do 10 fine i just have to lower my FSB or it either fails during the test or won't even boot up if i put the FSB to high like 400. Can anyone explain to me why is it when i put my muli at 9 by a 400 FSB i can get that fine but the second i do10X 400 the PC will just post and than reboot. and it keeps doing this why is this??

Well no luck again i tried it at 10X370 and after 2 mins it fails..Also try it at 9X411 well same thing after about 3 mins failed but do it at 400X9 works fine.. i Also had the Vcore at 1.45. Its now back to the way i had it 1.40 Vcore and 9X400 i guess that's the max i can do with this thing.
