Okay, maybe this is the wrong time to be asking this, but I'll do it anyway.

The Enlight 7237 - how does the cover slide off? Is it entirely one piece or is it built the way it should? Seperate side panels?

I was just checking out some case-mod sites and discovered that it just might be. And I just ordered it the other day based on feedback from here. I just, kinda forgot to ask that question. Whoops...

If you want to see pics of mine, let me know..

But most 7237's are 3 piece. The top is not removable, but the sides are.

Most? I checked out Russ' CompuCheap and it said it had side panels, so I double checked the mod-sites, and yup. THey still said 7237. Guess I'll just have to take it on faith. :) Thanks.

Originals had 1 piece cover which was a pain. Current production has slide off side panels.

Yeah.. the only reason I said most, is that the guy who did the Unreal Case and his buddy picked up the one piece 7237s. Virtually all from Egghead are the new 3piece design, but it was just a heads up because there may still be a few one piece guys out there.

That's one of the case-mods I had seen. The Unreal case. That was a kick ass case, I must say. :D Unfortunately, I don't have anywhere near the skill necessary to pull that one off.

Why did they switch to the three panel design and keep the same model number? Why not up it by a number to differentiate between the two?

I have one of the one piece covers... aside from that, the case is great :) I actually like the fact that it's one piece because I can leave the screws off, and the cover is still retained by the bezel, which clips *through* the flange on the cover into the case :)

Unless the vendor has had the case in inventory for a LONG time, all 7237's are 3 piece now.

The newer ones also have the extra fan mount on the back which is nice. Wish my one piece model had it.

YAY! My case arrived today!! :D I spent about 2 hours installing everything. Plus another half hour piddling around trying to find stuff I had wanted to put in. Like my drive rails for my SCSI HD. I had bought a HD cooler for it, but lost the rails. Ah, well, I'll go pick some up in a few days.

But, she's up and running. With 4 fans already. :p I'll paint the case in a few weeks, when I start my vaycay.

Thanks Russ! :D
