What's up,
I just bought a new PSU (SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply) to power a new GPU when I buy one. Unfortunately I did not check if it was compatible with my motherboard (i7-920 cpu on the dell 0R849j motherboard). Has anyone used this PSU with this particular motherboard (It's out of the Dell 435MT)? I just sent an email to seasonic customer service, but it would be nice to hear feedback if anyone has experience with this.
Thanks,
Jay

Cannot think of any reason it wouldn't work. I've seen people replace the ps in that XPS computer your motherboard is part of with ps's like the Antec Earthwatts 380, and had no problems.

compatibility shouldn't be an issue as long as it's a modern psu and has all the needed plugs and the board uses industry standard pin-out on the power plug.

I know dell used to have a proprietary pin-out on their boards years ago(pre-2000 if I remember correctly) but anything made fairly recently should be ok.

dell should be the ones to contact regarding the board in their systems.

Nice choise for a PSU. The newer Dells are not proprietary so you should be good. But keep everyting from the box just in case

Wow thank you for all your help! I wasn't getting email notifications for this thread so I didn't know anyone responded!
