Question about the Canon Powershot S200 for anyone who owns one

1) What's the minimum range from which you can take a picture?
2) How is the image quality?
3) How good are the macro shots? Is it the kind of quality where you can make out the little bumps on your mousepad?

i find image quality of my s200 is good for macros....just tough overall camera in low light situations

dunno exact minimum range , you can prolly d/l the manual online and find out

When switching to macro mode, i can get about 3 inches away from the subject with a few lighting and exposure adjustments and still have it come out clearly.

Overall, image quality is sexcellent if you reduce the pic to 12x9

I could get in within couple inches of the object under macro mode.
I guess it would really depend on the light condition as well.

The quality seems really good.
But then I also have the Sony DSC-F505V with manual mode to play with as well :D

What do you mean tough in low light situations?

it means if you are in a low light condition .... tripod is recommended ;)

What do you mean tough in low light situations?

when its dark, when u have to use the flash, the flash is very underpoweed

when its dark, when u have to use the flash, the flash is very underpoweed

I didn't think the flash was that underpowered.
It gets the job done I thought.
