I don't get it..

Humans rebel, destroy every machine they get their hands on, yet readily accept their technology they develop in the country of 01.

Makes no sence.. why wouldnt they have hunted down the city and nuked the hell out of it...?

Kind of a plot hole if you ask me about the development of the matrix.

Thats what I thought.

Atleast now movies have educated us, were any rouge robots ever to form any sort of nation or anything we would immediately smite them. ;)

I guess we'll just have to hope that this is explained in one of the other 8 episodes.

I think what they were trying to say is that humans were both intolerable AND extremely lazy.

They began to enjoy a lifestyle where no one had to do any crappy jobs--they gave all the crappy ones to robots. So naturally humans would tend to sin towards sloth..

When robots started fighting back, humans decided they didn't want to live with them anymore. They still wanted all the benefits of their technology though...but just at a 'safe' distance...

They were more willing to accept 01 as a nation of robots at a 'safe' distance than willing to give up all their technology...
