Question about temps.

I currently have temp.readings of 153F( according to SpeedFan and HWMonitor R.
Another program (ThrottleWatch ) that shows you when your CPU throttles down to prevent damage from overheating shows no activity.
PC still runs fine with no slowdown or problems.
Could the sensor on the motherboard be giving the wrong info to SF and HWM?
 
153F is not that hot really. That is 67C which isn't too bad.

However, it couldn't hurt to tell us what your system specs are, and whether or not you are OCing.

Yea, see that is a Prescott processor, they are infamous for running very very hot. So as I said, 67C is not too hot when you think about it.
 
You should set your temp readings to be in Celsius. That's pretty much the standard for technology data, so it'll be easier to make comparisons with other people, and with the data sheets supplied by manufacturers.
