I made a comp with an ECS K7S5A mobo and can't get it to connect to the net.

In Start> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Info> Components> Network
It says:

TCP/IP
NetTrans
This Device Has A Problem: Code=11(OxB)
Device Falure: Try changing the driver for this device, if that doesn't work ,then see your hardware documentation.

Regestry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\enum\NETWORK\MSTCP\0001

Alloc resources: None
Forced resources: None
Boot resources: None
Filtered resources: None
Basic resources: None

Ok, what is an error code 11 for TCP/IP?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the TCP/IP protocol in Network Properties.
Be sure to restart after uninstalling and before reinstalling.

I've done that.
Found out ASD said TCP/IP was being skipped during startup, so I uninstalled TCP/IP, rebooted and reinstalled. Then checked ASD, Msgsrv32 was then being skipped during startup, so I tried putting a check in the box to get it to load while starting. After rebooting, I checked ASD and TCP/IP was being skipped again.

I probably should have said it's done this in WinMe right after it was built and after I reformatted and put Win98se on. Do you think it may be the mobo or something in the BIOS? Or maybe the onboard LAN drivers?

I'm thinking about disabling the onboard LAN in BIOS and reformatting and then just installing the linksys NIC and drivers.....
