Question about T-Mobile

Anyone have T-Mobile? I was looking at their plans, and the $29.99 plan seems like what I would be interested in. Does this include any wireless internet usage at all? Or is there an extra charge for that? I'm thinking about buying the Samsung S105.

FWIW - I use T-Mobile with a Nokia 7210 in S. Jersey and their service is excellent. I pay $2.99 a month extra for 1MB of GPRS Internet.

I use T-Mobile in Princeton area of Jersey and its pretty sh!tty service, I would reccomend Verizon for best overall service in Jersey.

Tmobile isn't that great in many parts of Jersey, especially if you aren't close to a major highway. However, I've stuck with them because I'm not home much, it rocks in the cities (NYC, Pittsburgh) I stay in and the customer service is the shiz! And I like their plans.

I live in Southern CT, anyone have T-mobile service around this area?

my friend lives in orange and I can always catch her on the two way so it seems she always has service and I've not heard her complain.

EDIT: I think its safe to say the closer you are to the city the better overall coverage you will have regardless of carrier.

i used to have tmobile, but i changed over to spring because they had better nationwide service, and sprint also has unlimited calling to other sprint pcs users ($5+)

but overall, i'll agree with dcdomain. it's at least decent or very good in cities

Ok, to change the topic a bit. My contract with Sprint dosent expire until November. However, for my trip to Europe in September, I would like to have T-Mobile. Is it possible to cancel the contract and not pay the early cancellation fee of $150? I do have a legitimate reason - coverage is somewhat spotty in my apartment, once in a while the network will drop my call. It dosent happen too often, but it is annoying when it does.

Edit: I called T-Mobile a few minutes ago, and they said it would be additional $2.99/month for 1 meg of data usage for the wireless internet.

I just signed up with TMobile last week. I went to one of those little Video Game / Cell Phone shops around here and I got a pretty good deal on the Samsung S105 phone. The guy said if you buy the 29.99 plan you have to pay full price for the S105 phone which is like $250 - 50MIR, but if you get the 39.99 plan you can get the S105 for $80 - $50MIR and in 6 months you can downgrade the plan to the $29.99 or any plan you choose. I paid cash for my phone so I got the phone for $70 without tax. Also after a month of service you can call up TMobile and they will help you unlock your Samsung phone free.

In order to get internet access you have to sign up with T-Zone which is an additional 2.99 a month for 1mb data download.

most phone companies will lock their phones so you can't use them with other providers, this is mainly for GSM phones so you cant use a TMobile phone on Cingular or AT&T GSM. This is probably important to you because you'll be going to Europe and will probably be using Fido networks or something and you will need to have your phone unlocked to use them over there.

Edit: TMobile is generous and will help you unlock your phone, all you need to do is call up the company and just give them some information on your phone and they will give you a password which will unlock your phone. I don't think Cingular or AT&T will do that for you.
