Question about Subs and amps

i recently got a pair of subs and an amp from a buddy of mine who got married (wife made him ditch the toys), i installed everything, but i had a question:

the amp is a 400w 4 channel amp. is there a way i can make it so it's 200w x 2 instead of 100w x 4? thanks.

its a cheap american legacy 400w amp. im a car stereo noob.

Yep, bridge them. You won't get a full 200w, normally only get about 2/3-3/4 of the power, but then again it's not that great of an amp to begin with.
