Question about subdomains.

Say I have my domain, www.mydomain.com which is pointed to my website at a third-party hosting service. Is it possible to make a subdomain(i.e. home.mydomain.com), point to a different host, in this case my home webserver? If so, what entries do I need to make to get this to happen?

My registrar simpley has a gui for creating sub domains. Check there and see if the tools are available for you on-line.

Sub domain is a feature of the Domain main server the Internet DNS will not point the same domain to another IP.

Depending on the main hosting server you might be able to rediret the subdoain to anoter IP.

Yeah, I can create subdomains easily, was just wondering if I could get the subdomain to point directly to seperate IP.

That answers my question pretty much. I guess I'm just stuck with the redirect.
