Anyone know what sort of warrenty they offer on their 1.2 >> 1.4ghz thunderbirds? I cant find it listed anywhere. Also, does it really matter if its 200mhz or 266mhz if the chip is unlocked? I am looking to build a DDR system

266 is better but you can probably buy any retail tbirds if they're charging over the avg price... i saw a lot of 1.2 available after 3/5-3/7 so it's any day now...

I do not know the answer to your question, but why not wait for the Palomino version that is due March 19th. Palomino's major feature is PowerNow! with "architectural improvements", whatever that may be. In short, they run faster than the current Athlons (1.2+ GHz) and run cooler.

Checked out your link and their stuff looks interesting - I'm curious as to how the combo you bought worked out. The cooling unit is definitely different from all the HSF's out there as it comes with what looks like a dedicated chip controlling the revs on the fan - was it worth the $$ you spent? Any hardware reviews on their products? Thanks!

I canceled my order. Probably a mistake on my part. IT took them a couple days to respond to my emails so I decided I couldnt wait any longer and ordered elsewhere. Right now I'm waiting on a motherboard that is being exchanged cuz it was DOA. I have heard good things about Step, just didnt have time to wait for them to test out everything (I'm impatient)
