Question about specs for internet server

I just bought parts for a new internet server i'm building. The server just runs Apache and transfers probably 500-600MB per day, it's pretty low traffic the bandwidth is usually like 1-2kb/s. But it handles a lot of files, and keeps stats on the server usage.

I bought a ECS K7S5A a Duron 1Ghz and 256MB PC2100. But my current home computer is a FIC KT133?? chipset motherboard, Duron 700 and 256MB PC100.

If i go ahead and use the new parts for my home computer and put the older parts in my server, is my server gonna have high enough specs to perform extremely well even if stressed?

Yeah, that will be plenty... my website is hosted off a pentium 133 and everything zips along very smoothly.

edit: it runs apache too and also keeps logs...

What OS are you using, and how much traffic do you expect (when stressed)?

I'd say that you'll be fine though. My server pulls an average of 15kB/s (over a 24 hr period, almost nothing during daylight, most of that is at night). I'm using a Celeron 450, and the CPU utilization stays around 0.18%...

My server runs on an AMD K6 300, 128Mb of RAM and an old 2Gb HD and it runs fine with Linux Runs Apache and keeps logs (but routes them to my computer) and even at its peak time I havent seen it slow down much. Well, when I tried to do alot of database paging on it it did slow down...but iwth static pages its plenty fast for my traffic level. Give the new parts to your computer, a Duron 700 and 256Mb of rAM will be fine for a lowkey webserver
