Question About Speakers

I have this old boombox, and the speakers sound great, but the cd player doesnt work. Is there any way to use a pair of old headphones, and hook 'em together so i could like plug it in to my iPod, and have it play?

not sure the ipod is powerful enough to power them?

Yeah, unless you're planning to use them like headphones, you'll need some sort of amplifier.

edit: Something like this might work, but you'll probably need something more powerful.

edit2: Or, if the boom box has audio inputs, you could just attach your iPod to that. I did that on an old boom box I had that had an aux in mode. But obviously that wouldn't be very portable.
