question about speakers-->mp3 players

How would one go about connecting an ipod/mp3 players to a small set of speakers like so:

I'm assuming I'll have to use an amp to drive the speakers. I don't really want to tie an amp into my battery on the jet ski(Yes, I'm putting speakers on a seadoo).

those speakers aren't powered.

so if your mp3 player just has a headphones jack, you need to get a reciever to power those speakers, and get an 1/8" to rca cable. You would then hook the mp3 player up as an input to the receiver, and power the speakers with the receiver.

the speakers you linked to probably aren't appropriate for the application. I'd google speakers on a seadoo and see what others may have done.
