Question about soyo mobo

Excuse my question, but I've been out of the loop on intel cpu's/mobo for some time now. I was thinking of pairing the mobo with the cpu below it. Would that be a good setup?

It doesn't state prescott support but two people who reviewed it on NewEgg say they're using prescotts.

Before installing WinXP SP2, update to the latest motherboard bios.
Certain Prescott CPU's will BSOD, otherwise.
Or, install this update first:

If doing a fresh install using a "WinXP, streamlined with SP2" CD, then flash updating the bios from a floppy, or from a bootable CD, may be the only option.
