Question about sound cutting out

Hi,

I have a Emachines 366 Celeron system and the sound cuts out for a second with the onboard PCI sound and an AWE64 ISA sound card. If I'm surfing the web and playing music and I go to click on something, the sound cuts out for a second. It seems to do this with both the onboard sound and the ISA card and it also does it with any speaker system that I plug into the sound cards.

What could be my problem besides having a 366 Celeron Emachines? 😉 I use Winamp btw. Is there some sort of setting that I can use to help avoid this?

Any ideas?
