Question about socket A to 939 move... need help

Hey, Right now I have a 2800+ Barton core. I want to upgrade to a 939 3000+ venice setup or something like that. Is it worth it or should I wait alittle longer. I am also not really into overclocking and I was interested on how far I could push my 2800+ Barton? Thanks

Since you are not into overclocking I don't see any real reason for you to upgrade.

Obviously the A64 will be faster, especially in gaming, however I doubt that the difference will be worth the price of a new CPU, MB, and maybe RAM and a video card.
 
well i would like to get into overclocking if its worth it... not sure how far a barton 2800 will go... need to know what to get to get the most out of the cpu
