Question about SLI and Multiple displays

I hate having to disable SLI or switch displays in the nVidia control panel to switch to my TV to watch movies. So my question is can I put in my 8400GS and keep my 8800GT SLI and use the TV all at the same time?
 
If your mobo has the available slots, quite possibly yes.

Not sure offhand if they use the same driver, as that's another thing that will be important.
 
Well I had this debate with someone from the EVGA forums, people are able to make it work HOWEVER a lot of those that get SLI + 3rd card to work get a lot of errors randomly, BSoDs up the wazoo as well as IQ problems in games and such.
