Question about SiSoft's Sandra 2k

I have a couple of questions for those who are using this piece of software:

1) The second of the various probing tools, the one about info. on motherboard, it freezes my computer. I can't reset it, even won't let me turn the power off. I had to unplug and replug the computer. Any ideas why this happens?

2) It detected my system to be to hot (157 F) but then i checked under the bios settings and the temperature was ~110 for the CPU and ~100 overall. Which one is more reliable?

I would appreciate any kind of feedback.
-Thanks

I thought I was the only one!

Accessing motherboard info or cpu info cause the system to lag every 3-4 seconds, like I could make circles with my mouse and they would stop for a second and resume. The only way to fix it was restart.

Nothing else causes this, no matter what applications I run, just those 2 sandra modules.

Write them at support@3bsoftware.com

Yeah that one info screen kills my mouse. Everything else still works though, if I can navigate with the keyboard.

I've also noticed that SSSandra doesn't measure your temperature correctly. It once said my CPU was 172F ! I then looked at what MBM had to say, and it was a comfy 115F.

Identical problems. Accesing MB info freezes the computer (Using Win98SE P3 600E@800Mhz/Abit BX6 r2). All other info fine except CPU temp.

Sandra2000 is reported to be notoriously incorrect reading CPU core temps. "Compensation was added to external temperature sensors."
