Question about setting up a server?

I set up a small Lan, with DSL shared to all 11 computers in a church. I used a DLink router and a couple switches and one wireless WAP. 10 Win98 machines and one Win2k professional. Everything works good, everyone sees everyone else, DSL is working on every computer. Now they want me to take the 2k machine and set it up as a server. To have everyone else have to log in through that machine to access the DSL, and to install software on the 2k machine that can be run on any other computer, such as childrens learning software and games and things.

Do they need Win2k server on that machine or will professional work? What else do I have to install to make it work? Any suggestions or help would be great.

thanks
Paul
