Question about running Quake Arena Server

I have a small network at home, and one of my friends wants to join our Lan Quake games from home via his cable modem. I have a router that is capable of forwarding ports, and I wanted to know if it is as simple as forwarding the appropriate port from the public IP I have to the private IP that the server is running on. If I give him the public Ip and port to find the server, should that work?

Yes, you should be fine by doing that. Just open the ports that are needed and give him your WAN IP address and he should be able to connect to your server. 🙂
