Okay, here's something a friend and I were kicking around today. I already have a DSL connection in my apartment, but say I also got cable...how could I route both connections, to get full bandwidth. And to take that further, my DSL goes through my school's (Purdue) campus, so I get great pings to campus...so, would there be anyway to "tell" the router when to route stuff just from the DSL connection. I have a pretty good knowledge of networking, but I just though I'd get your guys' opinions...like what kind of router, general cost, general setup ... that kinda thing. Thanx...

"Quality of Service"-type routing? Don't know. Tricky to implement, I would guess this would be hardware based (commercial-grade routers).

It's called load balancing. it's tricky to setup but it can be done on a Linux box... I think MS Win2K server also supports load balancing. Also, some hardware routers do this but cost about 4x as much as a single port router.
