Question about router settings

I have a Linksys WRT54G router/wireless access point. There is a setting in it called "Filter Internet NAT Redirection". Linksys says, "This feature uses Port Forwarding to prevent access to local servers from your local networked computers." I have only one computer connected to this router, in addition to my cable modem. In the future, I may add additional computers, either by ethernet or wireless. The default for this setting is off. For maximum security, should I leave this off, or enable it?

Thanks, BUT...

If I had not have learned about any of the stuff I didn't know anything about, and had left things alone because I didn't know what they were, I wouldn't have learned anything at all.

I'm the kind of person that, now that I know that setting is there, I simply must learn what it's for.

You don't have a server so i don't think you need to turn it on. I expect the feature is intended to prevent further intrusion into the network once the admin's personal box has been compromised.

I do have a server, and the same router as you, but never noticed that option before... i turned it on and it did not seem to do it's job very well. I can still access hosted sites from my pc.
